In VirtualBox:
Disabled USB support (don&#039;t know if this matters)
Set video memory to 2M
Set RAM to 384M (I have 768M RAM altogether, but even 512M caused a low host memory error)

At the install prompt:
linux text resolution=800x600 mem=384M
(text mode alone was not enough, I had to set the resolution as well)</description>
